A favoured holiday spot since the Victorian era, Blackpool is a traditional English seaside town. Amusement arcades and crazy golf courses line the promenade and dotted between them are plenty of places to pick up fresh fish ‘n’ chips and Blackpool rock.
On the 5-mile sandy beach, children can enjoy Punch and Judy shows and donkey rides. Old-fashioned entertainment at its best. At the other end of the scale is the Blackpool Pleasure Beach, a fairground complex comprising a variety of rides, including The Big One - once the world’s tallest and steepest rollercoaster. They actually had to get permission from nearby Blackpool Airport to erect it!
More seaside pursuits are on the town’s 3 piers, one of which is Grade II listed. However, the most recognisable landmark is the Blackpool Tower which houses a circus, 4D cinema and a world-renowned ballroom, to name a few. Modelled on the Eiffel Tower, it is spectacularly lit during the annual Blackpool Illuminations, when the whole town is bathed in bright lights. The trams plying the prom are also lit. Look out for the one shaped like a ship.
A popular stag and hen do destination, Blackpool offers accommodation ranging from North Shore hotels to South Shore B&Bs - see Booking.com for the best choice.

Apart from the accomodation not being as described online, we had a fab time. We are a family with young children so we would highly recommend The Gruffalo & Friends-well organised, kept the kids active and entertained, and the photo opportunities with the characters was a nice touch.
Sealife-was one of the best we have visited, the kids loved it.
Madame Tussauds- again, kids enjoyed this too especially the music and marvel sections!
The highlight of our trip has to be the Tower Circus...its a must! The kids are still talking about it now!!!
Also, a new addition since we last visited is the Elephant trail...we all loved spotting a new one whether it was among the attractions, on the seafront or in the town centre!!!

Liked the promenade and walk on pier... which is lovely if the weather is good. Otherwise the two top attractions for us , the Tower ballroom and Winter Gardens were both closed for private events. These were not well publicised.
Everything else seems dated and tacky...
The owners were welcoming, hospitable and friendly. The hotel had a really pleasant vibe and was very well presented comparable to the price. Our room was very clean as was the rest of the hotel and the breakfast was lovely. Usually i would have offered recommendations but for the price it was everything i had expected and more. Parking was a bit of a joint effort due to limited space but fortunately the location is a 5 minute walk to the trams on the seafront from which you can access all of Blackpool.
Booked last minute as other hotel was unsuitable when arrived, this hotel was perfect 👍 clean, close to the north pier where all the night life is and blackpool tower
Staff was really friendly and even gave us a upgrade due to the room available being twin beds and we wanted a double bed gave us a nice sea view room and anything we asked was give eg fresh towels extra coffee for the room
Bathroom was lovely with led mirror, room was clean and comfortable bed, would definitely stay there again
Hotel is exceptionally neat, clean and tidy. Hotel manager Steve is very friendly and welcoming. He looked after us very well. Breakfast is amazing and many more facilities that surpassed our expectations. Definitely coming back for long or short term stays. Best family friendly hotel in Blackpool and on top its situated within walking distance to seaside and all attractions and amenities. Again, special thanks to Steve to make our staying magical.
The hotel it self is a nice hotel and the restaurant has nice food and drink and the breakfast was great the staff at reception was very helpful and professional the beds was comfy our room was clean when we got in there just a shame about the maid
The hotel is about a 30minute walk in the the centre of Blackpool and the north pier and about 30 minutes walk at a good paste to the Fantasy Island and 10 too 15 walk to the beach and seafront
The Adonis Hotel Blackpool is in the centre of Blackpool. It is a very low budget hotel, therefore the only extra in the room was tea/coffee making facilties. It is very convenient for an overnight stay as it is close to Winter Gardens and next to Blackpool tower and the seafront. The staff were really lovely and helpful. Contact with the hotel was good and parking is available at the front of the hotel for just £10 per night.
In a part of the city with many, many small hotels -- most of them closed during the winter season -- The Carlton stands out for being clean, tidy and in good repair. While the building is typical for Blackpool, all the surfaces were recently updated -- new fresh carpeting throughout and newly tiled bathroom. The hosts Doug and Sharron were friendly and helpful. I felt very much at home here.
Our hotel/B+B was excellent- it was spotlessly clean everywhere your eyes passed and the food was exquisite. The host's John, Ben + Ian could not have been more helpful, they really know how to run an establishment how it should be run.We also enjoyed walking along seafront and going up the Blackpool Tower.Overall we are well impressed with the Bromley and would return again.
we had the best time in Blackpool what made our stay even better was staying at hotel Jeanne, Darryl and Olivia made us feel very welcome. great hospitality the breakfasts were brilliant we even had an evening meal with them which was lovely. I would highly recommend a great location for a family holiday. thanks Darryl, Olivia and zeeva davide
Cosy hotel, great owner, she was very friendly & accommodating.. Location super. CAr park few foot away. 18 hours £16.
Brekkie was good overall. Selection was great. Eggs Benedict wasn’t the best I’ve had but everything else we got was bob on. Bed was comfy. It’s one of the better cheap Blackpool hotels I’ve stayed in. Would return.
Breakfast was lovely good choice and helpful staff. Room size was really good for a family of 4 (2 young children) had some nice entertainment and catered for families which was nice. Excellent location, this is by far the best hotel we have stayed in at blackpool and have been a number of times.
The hotel was spotless, and the hosts were so lovely. Breakfast was the best we've had in blackpool.
Sitting out on the front with a drink was a lovely sun trap.
Car park a street away that was £9.50 for 24 hours
Defo be back here.
Thanks for a great stay!!!
Absolutely fantastic, the best hotel in Blackpool.
The staff are amazing, nothing is to much trouble.
Our king premier room was oustanding.
We are definitely coming back here.
Thank you to all the staff for making our weekend so special, you are truly the best.
Shirley is very welcoming, makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in, everywhere is immaculate, she goes above and beyond for her guests, I would recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Blackpool, will definitely be booking again
Calm and quiet area of Blackpool to stay with a tram stop just over the road from the hotel giving easy access to get up and down the length of the seafront. Also excellent service from Jackie the manager who was very helpful.
The location was right on the seafront in a quieter area of Blackpool, it was comfortable the staff were great and the breakfast was self service and all one would want, oh yes, and an indoor swimming pool, great
This has got to be the best hotel in Blackpool and I have stayed in a few. So friendly clean beds and the bar is the best. We came down fr Scotland for a girls weekend and we can't wait to go back.
I particularly recommend this hotel, Personal listening and very helpful. Clean room and very comfortable bed. What better way to spend a good festival weekend in Blackpool.. I would come back
